We're Smartpatterns Inc., a software company with home base in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada and with staff on three continents. We help people turn their creativity into reality, by making patterns and instructions that are easy to follow.

Our first product, Sweater Designer 1.0, is a program that allows purchasers to design and knit a sweater of their own creation. Users choose colours and patterns to create custom designs and sizes. Each design is supported by full colour graphics and instructions, and tells the user which yarns are required to complete each project.

The software is as simple as point and click; the aim is to inspire and enable anyone to create their own couture garment with no design experience or knitting knowledge required!
